WEB IN TECH Training Program

Project 101183056 — WEB IN TECH

Introduction

The WEB IN TECH training program was designed to empower young vulnerable women and mothers in NEET conditions by providing them with digital competences, confidence, and employability skills.
This program has not been copied from external sources; it was created ad hoc by the WEB IN TECH project management team, in cooperation with NGOs and with direct contributions from the NEET community.

The course is structured in 8 modules, each focusing on a specific set of skills, progressively building from basic digital empowerment to real-life application in the labour market.

Module 1 – Digital Empowerment Foundations

Participants learn the very basics of using a computer: turning it on/off, navigating the desktop, managing files and folders. The focus is on building confidence, overcoming fear of technology, and understanding that digital skills are accessible to everyone.

Module 2 – Internet Literacy and Online Safety

This module introduces safe and effective Internet use. Participants explore browsers, search engines, evaluating online information, creating accounts, and cybersecurity basics. Emphasis is placed on safe practices and the ability to use the Internet as a tool for growth.

Module 3 – Communication Tools for Work and Life

Participants develop competences in digital communication: professional email writing, using messaging platforms, videoconferencing skills, and building a positive digital identity. The goal is to connect communication skills directly to employability.

Module 4 – Productivity and Creativity Tools

This module explores word processors, spreadsheets, presentation tools, and creative platforms such as Canva and WordPress. Participants learn how to create CVs, presentations, posters, and digital materials, combining efficiency with creativity.

Module 5 – Self-Learning and Online Resources

A key goal of WEB IN TECH is empowering women to continue learning independently. This module trains participants to find reliable tutorials, join online communities, apply learning-by-doing, and develop lifelong learning strategies.

Module 6 – The Link Between Green and Digital Transition

Participants discover the connection between technology and sustainability. The module covers how digitalisation can support eco-friendly practices, but also its environmental impact. Practical activities show how to adopt responsible digital habits.

Module 7 – Career Guidance and Employability Skills

This practical module connects digital competences with the labour market. Participants create professional CVs and motivational letters, practice job interviews, and learn networking strategies. Career services include mentorship, short tranships, and project assignments.

Module 8 – Project Work and Real-Life Application

The final module allows participants to apply their skills in real contexts. Through one-month tranships and project work with NGOs, they develop communication strategies or digital tools. Each participant presents her project in a final session, consolidating learning and showcasing achievements.

Conclusion

The WEB IN TECH training program is more than a set of modules. It is a journey of empowerment. By completing the course, participants gain:

  • Practical digital competences,
  • Confidence in using technology,
  • Awareness of sustainability,
  • Employability and career readiness,
  • Real-life project experience.

The program ends with the creation of a personal portfolio (My Empowerment Journey), documenting progress from Module 1 to Module 8. This portfolio is both a reflection of growth and a practical tool for entering the labour market.

WEB IN TECH is not the end of learning — it is the beginning of a new digital and professional journey.
